  1. Bob Tinsman. Bill asked me about him. He lived in the stone house acrossed the river. He owned the Tinsman farm which had a beautiful pond off the Stewartsville Road. We used to go ice skating up there.
How about Pine Hallow? Anyone but me ever ice skate there?

    Hi Linda,

Thanks for the info about posting to your blog site - I can't see well enough to take care of that now. Although I do have an appintment with my opthalomologist in April. Hopefully I'll be able to get things taken care of then.

Interesting seeing the pictures of Robert Tinsman. My father worked for him on the Tinsmanton Farms from about 1950 to 1959. I remember his dog Tammie very well - guess the other one must have died before we lived in Bloomsbury.

There were actually five farms that he owned - #l just across the river from Bloomsbury back of his home - #2 and #3 up across the field from #1 - (the pond was between 2 and 3) - #4 was on the adjoining mountain near Mr. Tinsman's cabin - #5 was just off the Bloomsbury-Asbury road. I also skated on that pond.

    Faye
