Mike and I have been talking about a couple of memories from our childhood.
Who remembers who the man from town was who was on the Ted Mack Original Amateur Hour with his one man band?
Also we are discussing the "shoot out on West Street" when we were children. I'm waiting to see if he remembers it.

The man who was on Ted Mack was Leo Fratezi owner of Leo's Market.

My Memories summerized,
ReplyDelete1. The beautiful mountains and farms.
2. Swimming in the river at Youngs dock.
3. Drinking A beer in the Jungles tavern.
4. Seeing the Blue Coach bus barreling
done Main St.
5. Going to school in one room with grades
6th, 7th, & 8th being taught by Pappy
Angle who one day got angry at me and
banged my head against my desk while
we were in art class. He was a good
artist.
6. Smoking my first ciggerete and being
caught by my dad in Sheets & Gardners.
7. DUFFY our school bus driver who we
would scerinade whenerver he missed a
shift heading up the hills.
8. Our milkman Harold Lutz.
9. The Coffee Cottge at the end of main st
10. Pickels hardware store where you could
buy almost everything you needed.
11. Dave Wilson riding his horse around
town and his buddy Art Segreeves.
12. Meeting Ed Sullivan and his wife on
Main St. giving him directions to
Polits Real estate office.
13. And most important was getting my
drivers license and chasing after all
gals in town.

ReplyDeleteI.m one of the guys who loved halloween
and helped with the decorations on the bridge.
You know what I mean. There were five of us
from town who joined the Navy together in
1960, Yes a long time ago. You may remember
some of names, Fred & Frank Apgar, Ed Wein,
Mickey Russomano and of course myself Wes
Ragan. We REALLY did have some great times
